Religion ceases to exist when it no longer has any followers. Therefore, mathematically religion considers any source that results in losing followers to be a threat to the existence of that religion. This is why religion vilifies atheism. Religion lies and spreads false accusations about atheism because religion needs to bring atheism down to its own level in order to fabricate a comparison. This is why unethical religious people make false claims about atheism being a belief system.

Atheism has nothing to do with being a bad person, or a good person. It simply means you do not believe in any gods…..but that still makes it a perceived threat to any religion, because of the reasons atheists do not believe in god: objective reasoning and critical thinking.
